Walking the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks during low tide, then returning hours later to kayak 40 feet above where we stood – the Bay of Fundy never fails to astonish!
The Cabot Trail at sunrise, with fog lifting over fishing villages and bald eagles circling our car – it was like driving through a Group of Seven painting come to life.
Hearing Gaelic songs at the Red Shoe Pub in Mabou after tracing my ancestors' footsteps at the Highland Village Museum – the Scottish soul of Cape Breton is still strong.
